BLUES HOST HURRICANES, CRUSADERS IN PRE-SEASON

The Blues will warm up for their 2026 Super Rugby campaign with two pre-season clashes on home turf against the Hurricanes and Crusaders in the New Year. 

First up, the squad will take the field on Friday 30 January against the Hurricanes at Sacred Heart College in Glendowie at 1:30pm. Details on public attendance are still being finalised. 

A week later, the Blues host the Crusaders on Friday 6 February (Waitangi Day) at Takapuna Rugby Club, Onewa Domain. 

Kick-off is at 3pm (gates open from 2pm), with tickets available now through Flicket. Adults are $15 with Kids (Under 16) $5.  

Fans will also have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the players after the match. 

Takapuna Rugby Football Club Manager Sandra Southworth said the club was thrilled to host the Blues again and expected a great day out for fans. 

“We always have an amazing turnout when the Blues play at our ground and we can’t wait to do it again,” he said. 

“Onewa Domain is the perfect place to watch footy up close - you can feel the impact, hear the calls, and share in the energy and vibe. It’s going to be a fantastic Waitangi Day for Harbour rugby.”
