U18s DEVELOPMENT SQUAD HEAD INTO CAMP
The Blues have named a 53 strong Under 18 Development Squad to attend a 4 day training camp. The camp will be held at Mount Albert Grammar School from Sunday 6th July to Thursday 10th July and provide an opportunity to expose the next generation to the Blues environment.
Blues Talent ID Manager Shane King said this year's squad includes players from the Far North (Kaitaia RFC) down to Southern Cross Campus in South Auckland with 20 schools/clubs from the region being represented. The boys will experience four days in a high performance environment with exposure to Blues staff and coaches. The key focus will be on development with a mixture of classroom and field sessions.
Members of the Blues coaching staff including Paul Tito, Jason O’Halloran and Craig McGrath will be on hand to assist with training sessions and connect with/mentor players during the camp, something King said provides a real boost for the players.
