nib BLUES TRIO NAMED IN WORLD RUGBY DREAM TEAM

nib Blues trio Maiakawanakaulani Roos, Sylvia Brunt and Braxton Sorensen-McGee have been named in the World Rugby Women’s 15s Dream Team of the Year for 2026.

They are three of the five Black Ferns named in the 15-player side, which caps a standout year for the club’s players on the international stage.

Roos is named at lock, Brunt at second five-eighth and Sorensen-McGee at fullback.

They were chosen by an expert panel of former international players, including Black Ferns great Melodie Robinson. The panel recognised the year’s standout performers across the international season.

The selections come after the nib Blues won a third straight Sky Super Rugby Aupiki title in 2026.

The club also had 11 players named in the Black Ferns squad for the back half of the international season.
