AUPIKI DRAW 2024

Double-header delight for Blues fans as Aupiki draw released

The Sky Super Rugby Aupiki draw was confirmed today and nib Blues fans can look forward to a double-header fixture at Eden Park.

Shaping up as a north vs south bonanza on Saturday March 23, the nib Blues host Matatū on Eden Park at 4:35pm before the Blues take on the Crusaders at 7:05pm.

Head of Athletic Development for the nib Blues, Chad Shepherd, said the double-header fixture will be a massive day of rugby.

“To have both our top teams playing at the same venue on the same day is something special. We have a one club mentality here at the Blues and our fans should be no different,” said Shepherd.

“We’re hosting both the defending Aupiki champions as well as the Super Rugby Pacific champs so we would love to see the stands full as we target two wins over the southerners.”

The nib Blues kick-off their season on Saturday March 2 away from home against Matatū before hosting the Chiefs Manawa and Hurricanes Poua on consecutive weekends.

The venues for these matches are yet to be confirmed.

The team then play Matatū as part of the double-header at Eden Park before rounding out the regular season with away matches to Chiefs Manawa and Hurricanes Poua.

The Sky Super Rugby Aupiki Final is scheduled for Saturday April 13.
