2024 BLUES JERSEY

The Blues rohe (region) holds diversity in its history, landscape, and its people.

From the Hokianga Harbour in the north, where the great navigator Kupe first made landfall, to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds where our modern nation took shape.

Further south past the Kaipara Harbour to the sprawling metropolis of Auckland, surrounded by the waters of the Waitematā and Manukau Harbours.

The 2024 Blues jersey reflects that diversity with a primary focus on the four tides that surround us - the Manukau Harbour, Waitematā Harbour, Kaipara Harbour and the Hokianga.

Through the centre of our jersey these four tides meet, mirroring the collision between the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean at Cape Reinga in the Far North of Te-Tai-Tokerau (Northland).

Running along the bottom half of our jersey is the city scape that links our region together. The iconic Auckland skyline flows into the crucial Harbour Bridge passage that connects us north. This finishes with the famed Cape Reinga lighthouse marking the top of our Blues region.

Notice the colour bars on the collar and base of our jersey - a nod to our region’s talented Provincial Unions – Northland, North Harbour and Auckland. They provide the fabric from which the Blues story is sewn.

The Blues, where all are welcome, all are whānau and we will represent them all with pride when we pull on the Blues jersey.
