Hamdahn Tuipulotu is a powerful prop who brings strength and energy to the front row. He attended St Peter’s College in Auckland and has been involved in the Blues development pathway since his schoolboy days.
Tuipulotu earned selection for the Blues Under 18 squad in 2018 and plays his club rugby for Ponsonby, one of Auckland’s most successful clubs.
The younger brother of All Black and Blues teammate Patrick Tuipulotu, Hamdahn’s rugby journey has been shaped by a strong family legacy in the sport.
In 2022, Tuipulotu was part of the Waratahs wider training group for the Super Rugby Pacific season, gaining valuable experience in a professional environment. He made his provincial debut for Auckland during the 2022 Bunnings NPC, before moving south to join Southland for the 2023 and 2024 NPC campaigns.
His hard work and consistent performances earned him a call-up to the Blues squad ahead of Round 10 of the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season, where he made his debut against the Crusaders.
Tuipulotu’s strong scrummaging ability, work rate around the field, and tough mindset make him an exciting addition to the Blues front row stocks.
