STAMP THEM BLUE INSPIRING NEXT GEN

This season saw success for the Stamp them Blue programme, an initiative that brings high school students from across the Blues region closer to the club.

Over the course of the season, the club welcomed 38 high schools and more than 150 students for a series of interactive, behind-the-scenes experiences at Blues HQ.

The programme offers a unique opportunity for students to step inside the world of professional rugby.

Each Stamp them Blue session is built around connection, inspiration, and insight.

Students are introduced to the legacy and identity of the Blues, from history and culture to aspirations for the future.

They meet members of the high performance team and wider club staff, gaining a first-hand look at what it takes to run a Super Rugby club both on and off the field, along with sessions around teamwork, leadership and communication skills.

A guided tour of Blues HQ showcases the inner workings of training, recovery and strategy spaces, along with an invitation to watch a Blues training session.

“Stamp them Blue is about showing young people that there’s a place for them in rugby, whether it’s as a player, a coach, an analyst, or a leader in the community,” said Blues CEO Andrew Hore.

“We want students from Northland down to South Auckland and everywhere in-between to know they’re part of the Blues family, and that they are part of the future of this club.”

The response from students and teachers alike has been overwhelmingly positive, with many describing the experience as a highlight of their school year.
