EDEN PARK CONFIRMED FOR 2024 & 2025

The Blues have today confirmed they will play their Auckland-based fixtures at Eden Park for the 2024 and 2025 DHL Super Rugby Pacific seasons.

The Blues kick off the 2024 Super Rugby season in Whangārei against the Fijian Drua, before returning to Auckland’s Eden Park for their remaining home matches against the Crusaders, Western Force, Brumbies, Hurricanes, Highlanders and Chiefs.

Blues CEO, Andrew Hore, said the club were happy to have secured their future at Eden Park for the 2024 & 2025 DHL Super Rugby Pacific seasons.

“We’re very comfortable with where we’ve landed - it’s been a worthwhile process in exploring our options and it’s fantastic that we can give our fans, sponsors and players certainty for the season ahead.”

“As mentioned when the draw was released, we needed to take some time and talk to our various stakeholders, including our members, to ensure we were making the best decision for the Blues.”

“We’re also looking forward to hosting several double-header fixtures with our nib Blues women embarking on an enhanced Sky Super Rugby Aupiki campaign in 2024. To have both Blues teams playing at the same venue on the same day will be a great spectacle for our fans.”

Eden Park CEO, Nick Sautner said he was delighted to continue supporting Blues Rugby.

“Eden Park has been the home to the Blues since the team’s establishment in 1996. We’re delighted to continue our support for Blues Rugby, welcoming both the players and their fans to New Zealand’s National Stadium for the 2024 & 2025 seasons.

“We are also proud to announce that we have extended our partnership with the Blues Aupiki team. They will play several of their games at Eden Park, with multiple double-headers scheduled throughout the season. Our connection with the Blues underpins our commitment to investing in the growth of Super Rugby in New Zealand. Together, we look forward to an exhilarating rugby season and delivering more memorable experiences on our hallowed turf.”

The Super Rugby Pacific season kicks off on February 23 with Blues pre-season training to start in mid-November.
