Sophie, also known as ‘Red,’ is one of the most versatile props in women’s rugby. With the ability to slot a conversion from 50+ metres, she isn’t shy to step up to the kicking tee when needed.  

Sophie was a late call-up to the nib Blues Aupiki squad in 2022, joining the team in their bubble down in Taupo.  

After a strong season for the Auckland Storm in 2022, Sophie was impressive in the 2023 edition of Sky Super Rugby Aupiki, showcasing both her scrummaging ability and deft ball playing ability. 

2023 continued to be a watershed year for Fisher when she was called into the Black Ferns squad, making her debut in the inaugural WXV competition. 

She is a reliable and hard working team mate who will be expecting to make further strides in the 2024 Aupiki competition and push for inclusion in more national squads.
