MELANIE PUCKETT

After Mel’s first season with the nib Blues in 2022, she decided to make the move to the big smoke from Canterbury. She now calls Auckland home and started almost every game of FPC for the Auckland Storm in 2022.  

Mel is your typical, hard-working halfback that loves to drive her team around the park. She featured in a Black Ferns Development side in 2019 and continued her push for international honours with a strong 2023 for the nib Blues where she competed for the starting no.9 spot. 

A strong organiser and fleet footed work around the ruck, Puckett is back on board for 2024 and will be hoping to lock in the halfback position and make it her own.
